Meet the Leadership Team at Nomax Inc.

Charles Voellinger, Sr

Founder and CEO

Charles Voellinger, Sr. is a chemist by trade and the founder of Nomax. He started the company in 1982 with his wife and three other partners. Charles has a B.S and M.S in Chemistry from St. Louis University and worked in chemical sales before devoting his attention full-time to Nomax. Charles is also a talented woodworker, and enjoys spending time in his workshop making furniture for his family and friends.

Pat Voellinger

Co-Founder and CFO

Pat Voellinger holds an MBA from the University of Missouri in St. Louis, a Masters in Mathematics from Northwestern University and a BA in Chemistry from St. Louis University. Before focusing full-time on Nomax, Pat taught accounting for 25 years at St. Louis Community College. At Nomax, Pat is responsible for financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting. Her contributions have been instrumental in Nomax’s growth and success. When she’s not crunching numbers, Pat enjoys playing golf, traveling and spending time with family.

Charles Voellinger, Jr

President of Nomax

Charles Voellinger has helped lead Nomax since 2011. After completing his undergraduate degree at Cornell University in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research and a M.S. of Engineering and a MBA from Northwestern University, Charles began his career in management consulting. As a consultant he worked with clients across a range of industries on issues such as growth strategy and operational improvement. In his most recent role before leaving to lead Nomax, Charles was a manager in at Bain and Company’s San Francisco office.

Russ Maschek

Director of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance

Russ Maschek has over 20 years of experience in quality assurance and operational roles in the pharma industry. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from Southern University of Illinois – Carbondale and an MBA from Lindenwood University. Russ started his career at Abbott Labs as an environmental monitoring technician, and eventually transitioned into operations as a solutions supervisor. For almost 10 years, he worked at Mallinckrodt in various supervisory and management roles with increasing responsibility within the realm of sterile manufacturing and supplier and supply chain quality. He has also worked at Pfizer and Thermo Fisher in senior management roles in quality assurance.

Mark Thomas

Director of Operations

Mark Thomas is an operations executive with over twenty years of experience in the field. He has a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Sheffield. Mark began his career at Mars in the UK, where he worked for five years as a project manager. In 2005, he joined Reckitt as an international project manager, eventually becoming the plant manager at their French’s location. When not working, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He is also an avid cyclist and hiker, and loves exploring new places on two wheels or on foot.

Robert Correale

Manager of Research and Development

Robert Correale is a pharmaceutical industry veteran with over a decade of experience in quality control and product research and development from concept through commercialization. He has a Masters in Chemistry from Saint Louis University and an MBA from Washington University. Robert also holds a Doctorate of Pharmacy from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy.

Cassie Ruppert

Director of Human Resources

Cassie Ruppert has over 15 years of progressive Human Resources experience. She holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from University of Missouri – St. Louis and a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from Webster University. Cassie started her career at Lutheran Senior Services as a HR Assistant and progressed to a HR Manager with increasing responsibilities. In 2013, Cassie joined Stifel Financial as a HR Business Partner where she was responsible for employee relations for the company and eventually transitioned into a HR Project Manager role. Cassie joined Nomax in 2021.
